As a ministry, we’ve been blessed with many encouraging 5-star reviews, and it’s exciting to see how the Lord is using our museum to impact people’s lives. However, we also occasionally receive 1-star reviews from those who disagree with our (or really, God’s) message. Below is a recent attempt to discredit the ministry (in bold italics), taken from our Google page. Our comments are interspersed throughout the body of their message. We hope you are edified!
I thought I’ve seen it all, until today! I saw a diorama of a native America riding a horse shooting a pterodactyl and a version of Noah’s arc with dinosaurs boarding in pairs.
(Both photos included in review) First off, we’re glad they got a chance to broaden their horizons when they came to the museum! Native American legends are generally discounted in mainstream science, and dinosaurs are touted as living long before man appeared, so we’re glad they encountered a fresh perspective. Genesis 7:22 makes it clear that dinosaurs (land-dwellers that breathed through their nostrils) would’ve been on the Ark. And yes, boarding the Ark in pairs is an important detail that we’re glad our guest noticed!
Thank goodness the experience was free.
We are also happy to offer these tours through Genesis for free, and we hope to continue that for years to come. Glad we can agree!
1.5 hours is far too long for a preachy tour that contradicts almost all PROVEN scientific evidence.
Several of our tour guides could share many more hours of information, so we’re glad to hear that they’re keeping it to an hour and a half. Unfortunately, our guest appears not to realize that origins-type science isn’t observable, testable, or repeatable and that secular scientists claim there weren’t any humans around to witness it. By definition, that’s not proven science. The Bible, however, makes it clear that God was there from before the beginning, and He told us what happened.
We did not last the entire time for multiple reasons. My mother is a diabetic and her blood sugar was dropping so that was one reason we left. The MAIN reason we let was because [our tour guide], who was very knowledgeable on his staunch beliefs, was speaking far too advanced for a group of parents with 4 kids all under 6.5.
Do we get bonus points for having a very knowledgeable, staunchly biblical tour guide on the team? That’s an awesome review! As for being too advanced, another guest left a 5-star review a month later, stating that the same tour guide was “a very knowledgeable tour guide and engaged with our children (ages 2 through 14) asking questions and explaining scientific ideas at their level.”
They need a version for younger kids if they want to keep the attention of children (however me and the entire educated scientific community do not support this religious interpretation of the Bible at all). I quicky told my sons the moment we left they will learn the FACTS in science class and become closer to God in bible school, one that is not a brainwashing religion that is known to disown family members who do start to question the beliefs of this specific religion.
Apparently, our guest doesn’t seem to think that God can get the facts right. Given God’s credentials, that seems a bit arrogant and illogical. Given the emotional thrust at the end of the paragraph, our friend may have had a negative experience with their own family. Strong responses often come from personal hurt. For that, we are sorry and hope their family can learn that truth and love work well together, side by side.
This place feels like a CULT. If you research the religion (I did a deep dive on the way home from the bazaar “museum”) it actually fits the criteria for cult behavior. It wasn’t even created until 1961….
By religion, they are referring to the very diverse Christians across a wide range of denominational lines who hold to a literal view of Genesis 1-11. That doesn’t seem to fit the definition of a cult. Further, great scientists such as Kepler, Bacon, and Newton were creationists way before 1961. And although some people in the debate might be bizarre, in reality there are intelligent, normal people on both sides.
They do not believe in most science, they have their own version of pseudoscience. They are not open to discussion and will isolate their members from the general community.
We love observational science! The guest is likely talking about historical science again, however, and that is an area where we frequently disagree with mainstream interpretations. As for isolating our team members (who come from a variety of denominations, and some of which live over an hour away), that was an uninformed cheap shot. We can very likely explain evolutionary theory better than our friend can.
(Google is your friend, you can find all this information there. Multiple psychological, medical, scientific, and historical books all reject this… religion)
Apparently, “I found it on the internet” is a good argument these days! And yes, the general scientific community does reject biblical Christianity.
They have a fake concrete “fossil” of a supposed dinosaur print next to a “human” handprint. You know because they believe dinosaurs and humans were created in the same day. Because they don’t believe in carbonating, there’s no way to prove that the fossil was not simply concrete they did themselves, which it 100% was. The “artifacts” were a mixture of fake, real, literal plastic toys and man made dioramas. They believe the Earth and universe is only 6,000 years old, it’s lunacy. There is SO much proven scientific evidence that our universe is billions of years old, the simple fact they deny that based on a grossly inaccurate interpretation of the first testament is honestly laughable, and sad.
The actual Delk Print consists of a dinosaur track and a human footprint, is housed in Texas, and has been subjected to CT scans. Our detailed cast of it is made of resin, not concrete. And although we do recognize some flaws in the assumptions of carbon dating, we’re excited to note that, contrary to evolutionary timelines, C-14 has been found in fossils, coal, and even diamonds! Believing the timeline given by an All-knowing Creator God is not lunacy, but rather rational. Despite our guest’s strong, heartfelt wording, it’s interesting to note that no examples for an old earth are ever given. What’s really sad is that a straightforward reading of God’s Word (one that is true to the original, grammatical intent of the writer) is seen as laughable.
Please please do your research before going. Unless you need a good laugh OR you are a Young Creationist yourself, I would steer clear of this waste of time.
Yes, please do your research before coming! Yes, come prepared for a good laugh! (We like to laugh.) Yes, certainly come if you’re a Young Earth Creationist! And finally, yes, don’t waste your time listening to false views of the beginning. God gave us the Bible so we could know the Truth.

At the Creation Experience Museum, we love working with children. We enjoy pouring into school groups. We get excited when we see families uncover fossils, touch hissing cockroaches, and get questions answered. And yet, as much as we thrive on these interactions in the moment, we realize there’s something even more important going on: We’re helping people build a launchpad.
Each summer, Southwestern Adventist University sends its excavation team to the Hanson Research Station in Eastern Wyoming to conduct a dinosaur excavation research project. This year, some of our team members had the opportunity to participate.
