This is serious business. None of us would like to be
identified as liars. The Bible reveals the ultimate destiny of liars: “And all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). At Creation Experience Museum we claim to be radical in this sense: We say, “Why not believe the Bible, God’s Word, just exactly the way He has given it to us?” This is a very appropriate question, because if the Bible is not accepted at face value it would indicate a lack of confidence in its meaning, reliability, accuracy, and even more serious, a questioning of the integrity of the claimed Author Himself. I, for one, would be fearful to put myself in such a position.
Yet, there are professed Christians who feel no qualms about dividing up the Scriptures to satisfy themselves about
the portions they feel they can believe, compared to other portions they do not feel comfortable accepting. As indicated above, I think this is treading on dangerous ground.
The ministry of Creation Experience Museum can be summed up in one short statement: We exist to support the truth of the Bible, show that real science supports biblical history and the existence of a Creator, and we need to know Him personally. Most Christians would be in agreement with the first and last part of this statement, but many different opinions are expressed today about how scientific discoveries support biblical truth. When we reveal the lack of scientific support for the big idea of evolution (macroevolution) as taught daily in public education, it conflicts with the idea of millions and billions of years of time which evolutionists must have if evolution is to have any chance of occurring. However, the truth from just one science, biology, is that no matter how many millions and billions of years are proposed for evolution, it could never produce the amazing variety of living organisms now existing on our planet.
Yet, there are unfortunately many professed Christians who have been influenced to accept the idea of deep time for the very purpose of accommodating the secular teaching of evolution. So what is wrong with some Christians believing that God used evolution over millions of years as His method of creating, while others believe that the creation of the universe and our solar system occurred only about six thousand years ago?
It is adding unproven ideas to the plain historical grammatical reading of the biblical text. In other words, by departing from biblical text as given to us, we will find ourselves undermining the intention of the Author—God the Holy Spirit. In the eyes and mind of the unbeliever this can be seen as inconsistent with the claim that as Christians we all believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. Can we ignore or overlook certain parts of the Bible because of some unproven ideas that tell a different story? No, there should be no room for compromise that would lead to a departure from what the Bible clearly says.
The issue of the age of the earth and the universe is one that has led many Christians to accept what science is claiming over and above what the Bible says. There is actually no need for Christians to get involved in such confusion because time has proven that science is not reliable when statements have
been made that are later shown to be questionable or
completely false. For example, Dr. Oreskes, professor of the history of science at Harvard University writes recently,
“After all, scientists have been right about most things” (Time, Nov. 18, 2019 24).
I would say that this is a very questionable statement! How refreshing to have a written guide we can trust—the Bible. It is a supernatural book based on reliable witnesses and reliable records. Although we admit that the Bible is not a detailed science text book, it has shown itself to be completely reliable where it does relate to science. So why not, for example, be open to accept the observed geological record when it relates to the age of the earth?
Trillions of fossils of creatures buried deep in the rock layers all over the earth (strata) do not show evidence of millions of years of slow deposition—layer upon layer gradually piled on top of one another. What they do clearly reveal for those willing to see, is that a global catastrophe bigger than anything else seen in recorded history has taken place. The Bible clearly has a logical and acceptable answer to this physical geological record observed all over the world—the Flood in the days of Noah approximately 4,500 years ago.
However, those who have predetermined that the geological layers represent millions of years are resistant to changing their ideology. This is what it amounts to, an ideology, a world view that purposely discounts the Bible and the existence of God.
For Christians, our way of living and witnessing to others should spring from an uncompromising and firm reliance upon the absolute truth of God’s Word. In the long run, this will always be the safest way to proclaim the Gospel with passion and conviction.
Let’s be sure not to foolishly add to the Word, but always elevate it to the supreme authority it is.

We love helping people put the truths of the authority and reliability of God‘s Word into their hearts. We also enjoy getting resources for these truths into their hands. And with the holiday season coming up, the bookstore can be a blessing both to the ministry and to your family and friends!
Everyone has a worldview, and every worldview has questions that it must answer. The truth will naturally produce the best and most sensible answers, and the Bible does just that.
