Creation Classes at the Museum

It’s that time of the year again: Our monthly Creation Classes are about to relaunch for the season! For those who haven’t been to one yet, these informative classes are a time of fun, fellowship, and faith-building presentations.

Our in-house speakers have shared on subjects as diverse as fossils, biology, Ice Age, and worldview. From examining “missing links” to explaining new developments in the creation-evolution debate, our monthly Creation Classes will leave you with a deeper understanding of God’s Word and God’s world.

As for upcoming presentations, we will be diving into topics such as soft tissue in dinosaur bones, fossil anomalies for evolutionists, and the Grand Canyon. A time of learning and growth for both staff and visitor alike, we are happy to announce our first class of the season is set for September 9th.

Held on the second Monday of every month, fall through spring, the doors open at 6:30pm, with our one hour presentation beginning at 7:00. For those that can stay afterwards, refreshments are provided as we fellowship around God and His word, discuss the Bible and science, and build meaningful relationships.

Additionally, since few things get a person excited about learning as, well, learning, the bookstore will be open for Creation Class evenings. Come prepared to fill your head, fill your bookshelf, and arm yourself with the truths of God’s Word.

No reservation is needed, but we’d love to hear if you’re coming, so we can best accommodate your visit.

The Rest of the Question

We’ve all been asked the question. “Why does God allow evil in the world?” But there is another side to that question, a query that cannot be addressed by logic, history, or facts. It’s the heart behind the question, often a bruised heart deeply wounded by evil, loss, or betrayal.

The Old Testament: Mountains of Evidence

In the previous month of Creation Matters, we examined answers to the question “How do we know Genesis (and for that matter the entire Old Testament) has been accurately preserved to our time?” In this article, we will unpack a very, very brief overview of the scientific and scholarly side of this question, touching on early manuscripts, scribal practice, and ancient witnesses to the O.T. text.
