A Year of Growth

Looking Back on 2022 & Excited for 2023

Growth is something we all like to see. Whether it’s growth in our knowledge, our abilities, our relationships, or our pocket books, we enjoy watching things get better. And here at the Creation Experience Museum, we were happy to see a lot of growth this last year.

The 2022 season was the 9th season at our current (Walnut Shade) location, and although we didn’t see the record numbers of 2021, we saw an even more important area of growth: internal growth. Over the last year, it was exciting to be a part of the growth God has been working in the ministry on the inside. From exciting progress in designing the new museum to our increased efficiency as a ministry to the ever increasing number of amazing volunteers and student interns, we have been blessed to watch God prepare us for the road ahead.

This year, we’re excited to see God continuing to work amazing growth in this– His— ministry! Below are a few samples (both internal and external) that you can look forward to seeing.

First off, there has been a growing demand for our speakers over the past year, and we are already working to expand our team of trained presenters. With such a growing team, we look forward to assisting you with the message of Creation at your church, camp, school, homeschool co-op, or conference. Although we are somewhat limited to the Ozarks region at present, we occasionally do travel further, and would be happy to answer your questions about additional availability.

We also look forward to the continued growth of our amazing team! With over 20 team players now, doors are beginning to open for even more opportunities for ministry. In addition, we’re also looking for more ways to add value to our volunteers, blessing them with even more experiences and learning opportunities. With bigger things planned for 2023, we would also love for you to consider joining our museum family.

Finally (for this issue), we’re also looking forward to some exhibit renovations this year. Exhibits wear down, fresh information comes along, and ideas are shared for improved designs, so we’re looking forward to keeping the experience fresh and growing for our visitors.

So, to put it another way: We’re excited for another year of growth, and we hope you are, too! If you would be interested in hosting one of our speakers, joining our amazing team, or even just visiting the museum again to see what’s new, please don’t hesitate to ask us! You can contact us about any of these areas via the links above or phone (417-561-0750). We look forward to hearing from you!

The Rest of the Question

We’ve all been asked the question. “Why does God allow evil in the world?” But there is another side to that question, a query that cannot be addressed by logic, history, or facts. It’s the heart behind the question, often a bruised heart deeply wounded by evil, loss, or betrayal.

The Old Testament: Mountains of Evidence

In the previous month of Creation Matters, we examined answers to the question “How do we know Genesis (and for that matter the entire Old Testament) has been accurately preserved to our time?” In this article, we will unpack a very, very brief overview of the scientific and scholarly side of this question, touching on early manuscripts, scribal practice, and ancient witnesses to the O.T. text.
